They unknowingly follow deceiving spirits

scope

She said, “It was such a spirit filled service today.” Is that because it felt good, or maybe it was different? Can the service be Spirit filled without truth?

Can Christians tell the difference between being led by the Holy Spirit, and being led by deceiving spirits? They could if they knew the truth.

The Holy Spirit leads us into “all truth” (John 16:13). He is even known as the Spirit of truth (John 16:13, 15:26, 14:17), and the Word of God itself is Spirit (John 6.63), and truth (John 17:17).  Check the verses.

Deceiving spirits only use part truths, mixed with lies. Such was the case when the devil quoted scripture in an attempt to get Jesus to violate other scriptures (Matthew 4:5). That same trick is being used today in most churches. Let me show you.

Think about this. Would it ever be okay with Jesus Christ to violate, or purposely ignore God’s Word? Jesus said His Words would never pass away (Matthew 24:35), and that the Word itself would judge those who do not accept it on the last day (John 12:48).

Now that you know that, consider this. Jesus always spoke what God wanted Him to speak (John 12:49). In other words, Jesus always spoke the Word of God; not human wisdom (1 Cor 1:17, Luke 16:15), not philosophy (1 Cor 3:19, Col 2:8), but God’s Word. Check those verses!

John 12:49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. NKJV

Those who worship God, must worship Him in Spirit, and in truth.

John 4:23-24  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” NKJV

What happens when we try to worship God in Spirit, but not in truth; using man-made teachings instead?

Matthew 15:8-9  “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'”  NKJV

Notice that our teachings have an effect on our worship. The worship may be great, but the doctrines that are taught make the worship acceptable. As it is written, “Take away the noise!”

Amos 5:23-24 Take away from Me the noise of your songs, For I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. 24 But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream. NKJV

Contrary to popular belief, we can’t sing our way into the Kingdom of Heaven. Get the doctrine right first.

Millions of sincere Christians are hell bound, and don’t know it. Their heart-felt worship is in vain because they ignore parts of the truth, and instead, cling to the commands of men as if they were written doctrines (Matthew 15:8-9 above).

Take trinity as an example. Trinity is not written in the Bible, except for maybe the footnotes which were created by men, but trinity is taught as if it is a required doctrine written in God’s Word. Now get this. The same places that teach trinity also reject abiding in Jesus (John 15:5-6), by obeying what He commanded us to do (John 15:10), which is a required doctrine.

If that’s not a good example of Matthew 15:8-9 (above), then I don’t know what is. The amazing part is that the very Bible that they use instructs them to “not” welcome anyone who does “not” bring the doctrine of abiding in Jesus (2 John 1:9-11), but they have long ignored that passage of scripture as well.

Name one denomination that teaches the Words of Jesus Christ found in John 15:1-6, or John 14:21-23. You can’t, because there isn’t one left. All have rejected it and teach the opposite, and now you can see how close we are to the end.

Name one preacher who doesn’t preach in opposition to 1 John 3:6-10; just one. See if you can find just one who preaches Hebrews 5:9, or 2 Corinthians 9:12-14, or Titus 3:8, and 14, or 2 Thessalonians 3:6,  and 14, or 1 Corinthians 5:9-13, or Romans 8:9, etc…

The list goes on and on, but here is the real question. Is it the Holy Spirit that is making us suppress the truth or deceiving spirits? Is it because we are following Jesus that we do not mention the doctrine of Jesus? Only the unrighteous suppress the truth (Romans 1:18), and there is no place for the unrighteous in the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9); none. Let us repent and return!

Read John 15:6 below, which is one of the many verses that are suppressed by the unrighteous, and ask yourself this question. Will anyone who does not abide in Jesus Christ make it according to the very Words of Jesus Christ?

John 15:6  If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. NKJV

So, if you believe Jesus Christ, what would you be teaching Christians to do in keeping with the Words of Jesus above? How do we abide in Jesus according to John 15:10?

Look it up in your Bible and then you will realize just how many millions of Christians have been deceived into thinking that we do not have to obey Jesus in order to make it. I’m talking about millions and millions of lives.  Take a look at Hebrews 5:9.

Hebrews 5:9  And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, NKJV

If that one verse were true, and it is, how many millions of Christians have been deceived? According to the next two verses, what will be the end of those who “do not obey the Gospel?”

1 Peter 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? NKJV

2 Thessalonians 1:8-10  in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. NKJV

The Bible tells us how to recognize the spirit of error.

1 John 4:5-6  They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. NKJV

People who belong to God, will not only speak in accordance with God’s Word, but they will also hear God’s Word.

John 8:47  He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” NKJV

People who do not belong to God will not put up with the doctrines found in scripture (2 Timothy 4:3-4), but they will listen to someone who speaks from a spiritual worldly view (1 John 4:5-6).

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, NKJV

1 Timothy 4:1 above sums up what is happening today in most places called church, because if we were Spirit filled we would not be in the flesh (Romans 8:9 below).

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. NKJV

If we live according to the flesh, we will die, but if we allow ourselves to be led by the Spirit, we would stop fulfilling the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). In other words, we would stop sinning, and not only stop sinning, but the Spirit would give life to our bodies (Romans 8:10-11); healing.

The true sons of God allow themselves to be led by the Spirit, in that way.

Romans 8:12-14  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors — not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  NKJV

You don’t have to believe me, but one thing is for sure. If you do not believe the verses I have mentioned, cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ to save you before it is too late.

John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. NKJV

A deceiving spirit is not going to teach you to obey Jesus, because then you would abide in Jesus.

A deceiving spirit is not going to teach you how to walk in the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:5-8), but the exact opposite by keeping you overly involved in worldly activities.

A deceiving spirit is not going to lead you in to putting to death the misdeeds of the body (Romans 8:12-13), but he will have you thinking that sin is okay.

A deceiving spirit is not going to lead you into all truth because he would expose his lies.

A deceiving spirit is not going to allow you to worship God in Spirit and truth, but in feelings (Ephesians 2:1-3).

A deceiving spirit is going to make sure that you never hear verses like Galatians 6:8 (below), and that’s why most Christians today have no idea that we need to “sow to please the Spirit” in order to reap eternal life.

Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. NKJV

I’m alan ballou; a no-body in this world, but God has allowed me to speak. Why? I don’t know. Maybe it’s because my mom used to place me against the wall and then shot above my head. However, don’t feel sorry for me; not while I’m watching millions who are hell bound. Do something about it!
