Joy? Joy is when people hate you for teaching what is right.
Luke 6:22-23
22 Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man’s sake. 23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets. NKJV
If people hate you when you mention verses that they willingly speak against then you can jump for joy because your reward in Heaven is great. They hated Jesus for the same reason.
John 7:7
7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil. NKJV
I know that may not sound like the warm and fuzzy Jesus that you have heard about, but that describes the Jesus Christ mentioned in the Bible.
Joy is asking my Father in the name of Jesus Christ to do something and it happens right then and there (John 16:16:23-24). That’s joy. Read the following verses and ask yourself if these are the kind of things that you need to know?
1 John 3:21-23
21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. NKJV
John 15:7
7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. NKJV
Just as Noah followed God’s instructions, we can follow the Lord’s instructions and receive what is promised. Praise God hallelujah! Those verses work just like they are written in my New King James Bible. I can’t say the same for other Bibles.
