Don’t be so spiritually minded that you are no earthly good.

Don’t be so spiritually minded that you are no earthly good. By Alan Ballou

Why do you have to be so serious they ask? Don’t be so spiritually minded that you are no earthly good. The Lord rebukes you! What day will you get serious about the Christian life? Will it be before or after the door closes and the owner says “Away from Me, I never knew you” (verse 25 below)?

Luke 13:23-28

23 Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.  25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’  26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’  27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’  28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. NKJV

Let me give you a bit of news here. I wasn’t any earthly good when the Lord found me and pulled me up out of the fire and gave me Words to speak. And yet now I should be less serious when millions have been tricked into thinking that they cannot be kicked out of the Kingdom all because someone of high standing in the world’s eyes declares they can’t be (verse 28 above, Matthew 13:40-43)? What! Is the alarm not going off at your house? Can you not hear it?

I’m here to tell you about a path that you will have to “strive” to enter (verse 23 above), and yet you love those who will tell you the exact opposite. Should I watch you burn in hell and not in the least try to warn you?

Tell me. How do we come to know Christ or learn Christ as it is written in some Bibles so that we will not hear “away from Me” as it is written in Luke 13:23-28 above?

Ephesians 4:20-24

20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. NKJV

Does that say that “if we have been taught the truth,” then we were taught to put off our former conduct, renew our minds, and put on the new person? Doesn’t that tell you that if someone is teaching a different path that it is not the truth? So how is it that you support a different message? Out of all who call Jesus Lord, only those who come to know Jesus will make it into the Kingdom.

Matthew 7:21-23

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ NKJV

The Apostle Paul had doubts about the Galatians because Christ had not been formed in them, but you love those who instruct people to “just say Jesus is Lord and you are going to Heaven.” Are they called by God to teach, or man?  Did God forget to show them that those who call Jesus Lord “must” turn away from wickedness (2 Timothy 2:19 below)? Perhaps they do not need to come to know Jesus Christ like those of us who believe the doctrine of Jesus. Doesn’t that statement sound like the snake talking to Eve? “Did God really say?” Are there two different paths written in the same Bible?

Galatians 4:19

19 My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, 20 I would like to be present with you now and to change my tone; for I have doubts about you. NKJV

 2 Timothy 2:19

19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” NKJV

Listen to the doctrine of Jesus below. When will Jesus make His home on the inside of us according to Jesus Christ Himself? Is it before or after we obey His teaching? And yet you declare, promote, and support a different message supposedly from the same Jesus. What! Did you bump your head in college? Did there come a point to where they said, “Either believe what we say or we will not give you this worthless piece of paper?” Have you not followed an opposition gospel (2 Corinthians 11:4 below)?

 John 14:21-24

21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.  24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. NKJV

I’m Alan Ballou; a servant. I will speak according to what is written in the Bible as the Lord enables me, without denominational garbage attached to it. If you have any questions, please ask.

 2 Corinthians 11:4, 12-15

4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted — you may well put up with it!

12 But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast. 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. NKJV

 1 Timothy 4:1-2

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. NKJV
