When things are going great, we say the Lord is doing this or that. However, when something gets in the way of our plans, we say it’s the devil. Well, which is it, and what verses are we using to prove that our desires are in line with God’s desires? Our philosophy has become God does what we like and the devil has to be the one who does what we don’t like. However, where is that written in the Bible?
Remember Joseph, who was sold by his brothers (Genesis 37), and became a slave in Egypt (Genesis 39), and then put in prison for something that he didn’t do (Genesis 40) long before he reached where God was taking him? I wonder what he thought about God’s plan as it was unfolding over the years.
God’s plan for your life is that you be conformed into the likeness of His Son our Lord Jesus (Romans 8:28-29), and that you make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20)? Does that fit into what you have planned and if not, what is it going to take for you to head in that direction? Now you know what is in your near future.
