Do Not Fellowship with Christians Who Sin, Biblical?

Is it okay to associate with Christians who continue in sin?
Do we have any responsibilities after we are saved?

Whose responsibility is it to “put to death whatever belongs to our earthly nature” according to the Word of the Lord written in Colossians 3:5-9?

Colossians 3:1-9
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him. NKJV

When are we expected to do what God’s Word is asking us to do above? The warth of God comes on the sons of disobedience according to verse 6 above. We need to know that.

Think of it this way. Who would tell you “not” to do what is written above? In the end there are going to be a lot of well-meaning saved, church attending people who will wish that they checked to see what God’s Word had to say rather than listening to false teachers (2 Timothy 4:3-4, 2 Peter 2:1-3).

Does the following passage of scripture suggest the everyone who will be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven “does the will of the Father?” According to 1 Thessalonians 4:3, the will of God is that we abstain from sexual immorality. Would that not be doing something?

Matthew 7:21-23
“21 “Not everyone who says to Me,’Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

When are we supposed to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice in keeping with the Word of the Lord written in Romans 12:1-2 below?

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. NKJV

There are so many mockers today, who proclaim that we don’t have to do anything after we are saved, and they are ruining the faith of millions.

According to Matthew 7:21-23 above, Jesus is going to tell some people “Away from Me, I never knew you” on the last day. Read the following passage and discover how we come to know Jesus, and then ask yourself, who would try and convince you not to do the following.

Ephesians 4:20-24
20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. NKJV

We put off our old conduct. We become renewed in the spirit of our mind and then put on the new man. When the old is gone the old is gone! Therefore, “If any man be in Christ he is a new creation” cannot be interpreted against Ephesians 4:20-24, Galatians 5:24-25, or Colossians 3 above. When the old is gone, then the old is gone!

How can I say that? It’s because those who belong to Christ “have” put to death their sinful nature (Galatians 5:24 below). That’s past tense.

Galatians 5:24-25
24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. NKJV

So, yes we’ve got something to do, if we’re planning on making it into the Kingdom of Heaven according to the Word of God. The same Word we trust to save us, is the same Word that instructs us how to live.

Are we trying to earn our salvation? No, we’re just not neglecting it, like so many today (Hebrews 2:1-3, below). According to Luke 6:46-49, if Jesus is the Lord of our life, He can tell us what to do.

Hebrews 2:1-3
Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, 3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

When will Jesus make His home on the inside of us? Is it as soon and we say “Jesus is Lord,” as some say, or is it after we obey His teaching according to the Word of the Lord written in John 14:21-24 below? If t is after we obey His teaching, then we’ve got something to do after we are saved.

According to John 14:21-24 below, will Jesus make His home in us before, or after we obey His teaching.

John 14:21-24
21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. NKJV

If we knew the scriptures, we would never listen to anyone who said that we don’t have to do anything after we are sayed, since they are trying to kill us. I’m Alan Ballou; a servant.
