Is there one seasoned church left?

Why is the church full of people who know that Jesus ate with sinners, but they have no knowledge of verses like John 7:7 (below)? It’s not being taught.

John 7:7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil. NKJV

Make no mistake Jesus ate with sinners, but He also called those sinners to repentance.

Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” NKJV

Yes, Jesus came to save sinners, but He also came to redeem us from “every” lawless deed (Titus 2:13-14 below), and destroy the devil’s work in us (1 John 3:8 below).

Titus 2:13-14 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. NKJV

1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. NKJV

If all you ever hear is that Jesus loves you so much, and He ate with sinners, and He came to save sinners, then you have missed the two verses above which also describe “why Jesus came.” Therefore, you cannot possibly see the big picture, and your testimony about Jesus will be one-sided.

You’ve attended church services, watched it on TV, and heard it on the radio for the past five, ten, twenty, and in some cases fifty years, so answer this question. Is there anyone left who preaches all of the reasons why Jesus came?

We are quick to say Jesus loves us so much, but even among those who hold to some of the unpopular doctrines clearly written in anyone’s Bible, there are none left who preach every Word of God. Therefore, what used to be called church 100 years ago is clearly on its way out and will be none existent in the next few decades.

What’s the biggest problem; no salt. Our conversation should always be with grace, mixed or seasoned with salt; never without it.

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. NKJV

What happens when our conversation is not seasoned with salt? It is good for nothing.

Matthew 5:13  “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. NKJV

Luke 14:34-35  “Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?  35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” NKJV

Christians should be living by every Word of God, and therefore we need to hear every Word of God.

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'” NKJV

Deuteronomy 8:3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. NKJV

We need to hear every Word of God and especially the verses that nobody wants to hear. Why? We are warned that a time will come when church attending people will not put up with the Words that are written in their own Bibles, and we’re almost there today in this country.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. NKJV

What is the evidence that 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (above) is already happening in this country? Obviously, the verses that I have mentioned to you so far are not heard on any Christian media today, and in most cases you will hear the exact opposite.

See if you can find just one preacher on Christian media that will mention 1 John 3:8 (below). I can’t and I don’t believe there has been one since Christian TV and radio began, but almost all boldly proclaim the exact opposite.

1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. NKJV

Not only will you not hear 1 John 3:8, and a hundred other verses readily found in the New Testament of any version of the Bible, but you will hear the exact opposite preached by those who claim to be Spirit filled preaching the Word of God with thousands of followers cheering them on.

However, is it really the Holy Spirit that makes them preach in opposition to the Word of God or deceiving spirits in keeping with 1 Timothy 4:1 (below)?

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, NKJV

God’s Word identifies who these people are and what they are doing. If God says one thing and they say another, can they possibly be representing God, or themselves (Acts 20:29-32)? The number of followers is the world’s standard of success. God’s ambassadors speak in accordance with His Word (John 3:34, Jeremiah 23:22, Proverbs 30:5-6), even if nobody listens to them.

Luke 6:26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets. NKJV

Luke 10:16 He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.” NKJV

Think about it. We belong to Christian organizations based on believing a book that we do not believe. Is that not insane? Bowling leagues bowl, and golf organizations play golf, but do Christians believe Jesus Christ, Who always spoke God’s Word (John 12:49)?

For those who “do” believe that God is the Author of the Bible, verses like the ones I have mentioned so far will totally change their view of the sugar-coated, mainstream Christian message that we hear everywhere today. They will be able to see that something is way off with the teachings that most support, and call good preaching, which is expected of them.

Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. NKJV

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. NKJV

The bottom line is that every preacher claims to be preaching the Word of God, but that’s not true for those who reject parts of God’s Word, and only mention the verses that paint the sound-good, feel-good picture that they promote. They are deceivers.

We need to repent of the past, and then listen to and believe every Word of God. Listen to the verse below carefully, and notice that it is those who hear the Word and believe it that will not come into judgment.

John 5:24  “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. NKJV

Every preacher in this country will promise their listeners that they will not come into judgment, but they never mention the conditions. We’ve got to hear the Word and believe it, and that Word is full of conditions that every Christian needs to know. Jesus always spoke the Word of God, including the conditions (John 12:49); always.

Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17), and we must continue in our faith in order to remain holy in God’s sight (Colossians 1:21-23). That’s a condition that you need to know.

Colossians 1:21-23 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight —  23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. NKJV

Did you notice the word “if” at the beginning of verse 23 above? That makes verse 22 conditional. We are holy, blameless, and above reproach in His sight “if.” How many preachers have you ever heard mention that “if?” Right. Welcome to the last days.

If we do not live by faith we will draw back to perdition; the destruction of the soul (Hebrews 10:38-39 below). Again notice the word “if” (below). You don’t have to believe my Bible, but be sure and check your version of the Bible, and believe it as if God were speaking to you.

Hebrews 10:38-39  Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”  39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. NKJV

How many preachers have you heard that even remotely mention the “if” in these verses? Most of the time, you will hear these promises without the slightest mention of any conditions, and that should be recognized as false teaching; deception.

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you — unless you believed in vain. NKJV

Did you hear the “if” in verse 2 above? The last time I checked, every Bible in the Christian book store said “saved if,” in the passage above and in 1 Timothy 2:15, but we have been made to believe “once saved always saved,” which is the exact opposite.

Once saved, always saved is not written in the Bible, and it has deceived millions of Christians in this country. They can no longer see the word “if” in 1 Corinthians 15:2 above and many other verses because they willingly speak against it. They have fallen away from the faith (1 Timothy 6:20-21 below). Check the verse below before you speak.

1 Timothy 6:20-21 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge — 21 by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen. NKJV

Even among Christians who do not believe “once saved always saved,” none ever mention the condition of holding fast to the Gospel in keeping with 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 (above), and 2 Thessalonians 2:13-15 as a condition.

Why? People will not pay to hear what the Bible actually says, but they will pay to hear any talented speaker who will tell them what they want to hear in keeping with 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (above). That’s why all you hear on Christian media today is what pays the bills, and the message you support is the message that you promote.

Luke 11:47-49  Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.  48 In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs. NKJV

Listen to the passage above, and do we not bear witness today against ourselves because  we acknowledge the Bible as being the Word of God, and yet we are quick to reject the verses that we do not want to hear? As if that isn’t enough, we also support those who speak in opposition to it? Have we bumped our heads?

We have to continue in what God has given us or we too can be cut off in keeping with Romans 11:22, and John 15:2, 6. Notice the conditions that are never taught in this country.

Romans 11:22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. NKJV

John 15:2  Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. NKJV

John 15:6  If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. NKJV

Is there anyone left that preaches those conditions? I can’t find one, but I can find plenty who speak in opposition to what Jesus Christ has said, and they have thousands of followers who readily testify that they are good teachers. No, my friend they are false teachers who covet your money.

2 Peter 2:1-3 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. NKJV

Read the following verses and ask yourself what is going to happen if this verse means what it says?

Hebrews 10:26-27 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. NKJV

Shocking! Millions of Christians have already been deceived and they will drag you into the fire with them if you let them. Let us repent and return to the Lord our God in truth.

James 5:19-20  Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. NKJV

Know the truth for yourself. Learn it. Check the verses I have mentioned and believe them from your Bible. By simply repenting of the past and accepting the truth as it is written in your Bible, it will save your soul.
