Why is it that you do not understand?

Alan Ballou teaching.
I take questions at anytime, even in the middle of teaching, because the answers do not change, since the Word of God has not changed.

Why is it that you do not understand? Can you understand what you speak against? The traditions of men, handed down by your earthly fathers (1 Peter 1:18), have made the Word of God living in you of no effect (Matthew 15:6).

How do we mix faith with what we do not accept and believe? We can’t!

Hebrews 4:2  For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. NKJV

If the Word of God, even written in the Bible you use, does not match what you proclaim, can you possibly have a right interpretation? Is God both truth and lie, depending on the verses you choose to ignore? Repent and return to the Lord your God!

Who will have a good understanding according to the Word of God?

Psalm 111:10   The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. NKJV

Psalm 119:98-104  You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me. 99  I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation. 100  I understand more than the ancients, Because I keep Your precepts. 101  I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word. 102  I have not departed from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me. 103  How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104  Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. NKJV

If you believe that, then why not teach it, and never speak against it again (Romans 10:6-8)!  If God is in charge, then allow Him to rule through His Word (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Those who speak against the faith, can fall away from the faith (1 Timothy 6:20-21). Take your stand with the fallen, or with God, but either way, you will be known by your words, and not your worldly stature (Matthew 12:33-34, 7:15-20).
