You may never see a drowning man reject someone trying to help him, but it is common to see people, who do not know they are full of condemnation, reject the help they need.
Read the following passage of scripture out loud so that you can hear it in your ears (faith comes by hearing the Word, Romans 10:17). Allow the scriptures to tell you what to believe instead of you trying to make them fit into what you think (Christians allow the Word to judge their attitudes and thoughts, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Check the verses!
Answer this question when you are finished reading. Who has “no condemnation” in them? Is it every saved person, or those who are saved who walk according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh?
Romans 8:1-8
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. NKJV
Let me share this with you. It has been my experience over the past 19 years of being called by God to teach that if someone is blind and cannot see the verses, they have to read them over and over a few times before they can see. This is especially true for spiritual sounding people who speak directly against the verses (1 Timothy 6:20-21).
So if you often quote that there is “no condemnation for those who are in Christ” and ignore verse 4 above (“who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit”), you will certainly need to read the passage about ten more times out loud to see it.
Once you see it refuse to speak against it! Why? The righteousness of God that is by faith involves saying certain things and not saying certain things (Romans 10:6-8). There will be no such thing as an unrighteous person in Heaven (Matthew 5:20, 1 Corinthians 6:9). Know the truth for yourself and then never speak against it. Never!
